Free hotel stays with a small audience. The pitch matters more than the follower count.

A summary of a free starter guide by a Dubai-based travel creator. She says hotels gave her around $250,000 of stays and experiences this year, much of it for content she never posted. You need to know what hotels want, shoot it well, and pitch like a partner, not a fan.

The whole guide in one lineDon't say "I want this". Say "I can do this for you".

1 · What hotels actually want

  • Content that sells a stay. Shots that make a guest picture themselves there.
  • Content they can repost. Real, warm storytelling beats a staged shoot.
  • Every angle. Rooms, pool, food, amenities, mood.
  • Brand sense. Tone, look and editing count more than followers.
  • Quality over posting. Many hotels now pay for UGC they post on their own channels.
→ Sell the content, not your audience

2 · The 6 shots every hotel wants

  1. Room reveal. Curtains opening, the view, light, textures.
  2. Food moment. Overhead table, coffee steam, POV bite.
  3. Pool or water. Floating breakfast, lounger POV, underwater.
  4. Walk-through. Smooth, stabilised, shows scale.
  5. Golden hour. Sunset, silhouette, reflections.
  6. Details. Linen, cocktails, key card, vanity, lines.
→ Deliver all six from every stay

3 · How to pitch

  • Name your style and the content you specialise in.
  • Make it easy. Say what you deliver and how it helps them.
  • Talk hotel: guest experience, property storytelling, signature amenities, brand identity.
  • Act like a partner who does this often, not a fan asking for a favour.
→ Less "me", more "your hotel"
