The answer, first

In 2023 the company put 23,426.67 behind the two of them.
Elegance opened on 17 December 2023, so 2023 is thirteen trading days plus the run-up. Of that 23,426.67, 13,830.00 went out as staff loans booked directly in their own names (1,030.00 of it credited back the same month) and 9,596.67 is their two-thirds share of costs the ledger books to all three staff — Ikrama, Shakeel and Azeem — without naming anyone. The loans are recoverable and still being recovered; the shared costs are real spend and gone.

Year by year — in and out

Out 52,865.01. Back 29,209.00. Outstanding 23,656.01.
"Paid out" is everything the company advanced — cash, bank transfers, rent paid on their behalf, tickets, the January 2026 visa loan. "Recovered" is almost entirely commission and salary set against the loan rather than paid across.

The 2023 shared staff costs

14,395.00 booked to three staff, not to names.
These accounts carry no individual attribution in the ledger. Two of the three narrations say so outright — "(Ikrama,Shakeel,Azeem)" and "3 staff". A per-head split is the only defensible allocation, so two-thirds is charged to Shakeel and Azeem together.

What to watch

Five things before this number is used anywhere.
  1. These are loans, not wages. Every dirham above sits in a Staff Loan account on the asset side of the balance sheet — the company expects it back. At 30 June 2026 23,656.01 of the 52,865.01 advanced is still outstanding, which is 45% of everything ever paid out.
  2. Shakeel is the exposure. Azeem has repaid 66% of what he has taken; Shakeel 43%. Azeem's balance fell from 15,260 to 2,260 across 2025 as his 40% commission was set against it. Shakeel's barely moved and is now at its all-time high of 13,954.04.
  3. Recovery is bookkeeping, not cash. Almost every credit is "commission paid to…" or "commission deducted in salary" — the loan is cleared by not paying earned commission across. If either man leaves, that recovery mechanism stops with him and the balance has to be collected in cash or written off.
  4. January 2026 put the balances back up. Both accounts jump at the start of 2026 — Azeem by 7,441.98 and Shakeel by 7,184.89 — against a 12,510 visa expense in the 2026 P&L. Two years of recovery on Azeem was undone in one month.
  5. Manoj restated Azeem between two packs. The 6 May 2026 workbook carries Azeem at 8,326.89 for January to April; the June pack carries him at 9,339.89 for the same months and 9,701.97 at 30 June. Shakeel is consistent at 13,954.04 in both. This page uses the later (June) trial balance. Worth one question to Manoj — roughly 1,013 of Azeem's balance moved without an explanation on the face of either pack.
Basis and limits. 2023, 2024 and 2025 are transaction-level, taken from Manoj's Tally account ledgers, and every year ties to the running balance Tally itself printed — 2023 closes at 6,400.00 Dr each, 2024 at 15,260.46 and 11,873.00, 2025 at 2,259.99 and 6,769.15. 2026 is balances only: no transaction-level staff-loan ledger for 2026 exists in the files here, so the January–June movement is shown as one derived line, being the difference between the 31 December 2025 closing and the 30 June 2026 trial balance. Ask Manoj for the 2026 account ledger to break that line open. The ledger headers say OMR — that is a template artefact carried over from the Oman file; the currency is AED throughout.
