Every desi place worth the drive that has been passed around our group and eaten at — Afghan, Pakistani, North and South Indian, pure vegetarian, mandi and madhbi, and the newer modern-Indian rooms in Business Bay and DIFC. Grouped by neighbourhood, because that is how you actually decide. Tap any name to put it on the map and get directions. No ratings, no prices, no sponsored entries.
Shading is how much company a place keeps. The darker the cell, the more desi restaurants sit
in that same neighbourhood — a dark block is a proper food strip you can walk, a pale one is a lone outpost worth a
dedicated trip. It is not a rating and it is not spend; there are no prices or scores anywhere on this page.
Grouped by neighbourhood, not by cuisine. Al Karama and Business Bay carry fourteen each and are the
two strips where you can turn up without a plan. Everything else is a destination.
Where the list came from. Places shared and eaten by a small group of friends over the years, plus the
old-Dubai classics and the newer Business Bay and DIFC rooms. Every Google Maps link that came through as a short
link was opened and resolved to the real place name and address rather than trusted blind. Nobody paid to be here and
nothing is affiliate-linked.
Two entries sit outside the UAE — Jeddah and Riyadh — kept because they came from the same list.
