Peace be upon you, and the mercy and blessings of Allah. Muhammad, peace be upon him — whose brief introduction I am presenting to you. He was born in Mecca. This month of the Islamic calendar, Rabi-ul-Awwal, is his birth month. This programme has been organised in view of this.
In the Holy Quran, Allah says: And Muhammad is no more than a Messenger; many Messengers have
passed away before him.
When Muhammad, peace be upon him, reached the age of forty, he was appointed. An angel, a messenger, was sent to him, and he was granted Prophethood. He was made a messenger.
The first message that the Lord gave him consisted of five verses. The first verse is:
Read in the name of your Lord who created.
Read in the name of your Lord who created
everything. There is only one Creator, and the entire universe, the entire cosmos, is His creation.
“He taught man what he did not know.”
The fifth verse — and the hinge of the whole addressIn the fifth line of this, Allah stated: He taught man what he did not know.
I am giving man
that knowledge which he did not have before. What is that knowledge? It is revealed knowledge. One is
the knowledge we acquire through our eyes, ears, nose and mind — that is acquired knowledge.
Allah gave revealed knowledge.
In this respect, Muhammad, peace be upon him, was sent as a mercy for all the worlds

for the entire universe. You are compassionate for the whole universe.
That message which Muhammad, peace be upon him, gave in his sermon consists of seven points.
By Allah, there is no god but He.
By the Lord, besides whom no one is worthy of worship. He is the one God, the one Supreme Being.
I am the messenger of Allah sent specifically to you and to all people collectively.
Sent specially for the Arab world, but generally for the whole world, all humanity, and all existence.
By Allah, you will all die, just as you sleep.
Everything that has been created on this earth will perish one day. Likewise, all of you will face death.
Then you will surely be resurrected, just as you wake up.
Death will come to you as you sleep every day — and then all of you will be brought back to life, as you wake every morning.
Then you will certainly be held accountable for what you have done.
From the date of your birth until the date of your death.
Whatever behaviour you have exhibited — with your family, with your neighbours, in your business, wherever you were — all of it will be accounted for. That Master will take that account.
Then you will be rewarded for your good deeds and punished for your bad deeds. And that consequence will either be an eternal paradise or an eternal hell.
So this is the message that we have received through revealed knowledge, which Muhammad, peace be upon him, gave in his sermon. And therefore, just as this Arabic recitation was performed — Muhammad, peace be upon him, was sent not just for Arabs, not just for Muslims, but for the entire universe. This is what Allah stated in the Quran:
We have not sent you except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind.
O Muhammad, we have sent you for the whole creation, to warn them and give them good news.
But most of the people do not know.
So after this brief introduction, I conclude my talk. Thank you.
