To fulfil your bookings, match you with chefs, process payments, send service emails, and improve the platform. We never sell your data.
Processing is based on (a) contract performance for booking-related data, (b) consent for marketing emails (you can withdraw any time), and (c) legitimate interest for fraud-prevention and security analytics.
We share data only with chefs assigned to your session (name, address, dietary profile), payment processors (Stripe / Network International), and infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, email delivery) under data-processing agreements. No data is transferred outside the UAE without adequate safeguards.
We retain account data for as long as your account is active plus 24 months after closure, or longer where UAE law requires. Tax/invoicing records are retained for 5 years per UAE FTA.
Under UAE PDPL you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to processing. Email privacy@eatcookjoy-uae.com to exercise these rights — we respond within 30 days.

Our service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Dietary data about minors in your household is processed under your responsibility as the account holder.
TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest, role-based access, regular penetration testing. We will notify the UAE Data Office and affected users within 72 hours of any breach as required by PDPL.
