EatCookJoy UAE ("EatCookJoy", "we", "us") is a private chef booking marketplace operating across the United Arab Emirates. Our registered address is Office 1203, Bay Square Building 13, Business Bay, Dubai, UAE.
By booking a session you accept these terms. You confirm you have authority to allow our chefs into the address provided, that you'll provide a safe and reasonably equipped kitchen, and that you're 18+ years old.
All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED), in accordance with CBUAE guidelines. 5% VAT is applied per UAE FTA where applicable and shown on tax invoices. Groceries are billed at cost unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed via secure third-party providers; we do not store full card details on our servers.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your session. Cancellations within 48 hours of the session start time incur a 50% fee to compensate the chef. Event bookings with a deposit are refundable up to 3 days prior.
Our Halal-first sourcing policy is on by default. We tag all 16,848 recipes for 10 allergens and 11 dietary profiles. While we take reasonable care, EatCookJoy is not a medical service — if you have a life-threatening allergy please disclose it explicitly when booking.
Our chefs are independent professionals vetted for culinary training, food-safety certification (Dubai Municipality PIC or equivalent), and a clean background check. Tipping is optional and never expected.
You agree to treat our chefs with respect. EatCookJoy reserves the right to refuse service or terminate bookings if a household is unsafe, abusive, or fails to honour confirmed sessions.
Our maximum aggregate liability under these terms is capped at the total amount paid for the session(s) in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai courts unless otherwise required by mandatory UAE consumer-protection law.
